Expectation from role holder: - The candidate will focus on the optimization of inventory management systems, processes and will be the custodian of key metrics like current holdings, buying capacity and improvement of overall days of inventory. The candidate will be handling the Order management system of the Inventory Planning team. - The person responsible should possess a strong analytical acumen, superb business judgement, strategic planning skills, a deep understanding of supply chain and operational levers, and an eagerness to deep dive into solving complex problems. Roles &amp; Responsibilities: - Manage inventory capacity planning processes along with monitoring the current holdings and buying capacity - Ensure optimal utilization of storage space and improvement of overall days of inventory - Optimise supply chain costs related to inventory holding and handling - Build advanced data models for supply chain network planning and replenishment of goods - Ensure the highest level of assortments availability to Grofers- customers - Convert sales plan into inventory stocking plans - Coordinate with Supply Chain Operations team with respect to inbound and transfer capacity requirements - Improve capacity models to optimise the inbound and transfer costs - Build business continuity plans to prevent deviations in the overall inventory planning Required skillset: - Proficient in using Advanced MS Excel (Macro proficient) &amp; SQL (hands-on experience in SAS and VBA is an added advantage) - Superior analytical skills, with demonstrated ability to dive in and quickly understand the root cause and identify scalable solutions - Have a strong numerical aptitude and high proficiency in creating and managing advanced statistical models
