The Partnerships Advisor is responsible for expanding our reach in India through strategic partners.  - The Partnerships Advisor will identify potential partners (with rural network and operations) and cultivate relationships with decisions makers to ultimately generate sales and value-creating partnerships.   - The Partnerships Advisor will represent the company at various events, engage directly with potential partners to understand their organization's needs and assess value for everyone involved, often including large companies in multiple sectors, distributors, retailers, NGOs and their beneficiaries, and marketing departments.  - The Partnerships Advisor works as an entrepreneur, identifying high impact partners, navigating political and hierarchical structure within the partner organization, establishing him/herself as a trusted advisor to multiple functions and deploying exemplary business development skills necessary to close deals.  - As potential customers and partners move towards execution, the Partnerships Advisor will manage company-client interactions and act as a planner- developing a timeline and progressing through it with the client, anticipating potential stumbling blocks and addressing them swiftly.   - The Partnerships Advisor must be skilled in maintaining long-term relationships and assessing forward-looking ways to grow and support partners.   The ideal candidate for Partnerships Advisor:  - Has 3+ years experience in channel sales and distribution, preferably in a consumer durables setting.  - Can understand various channel operating models and create customized solutions  - Likes getting hands on, creative and working independently. Willing to spend 10-15 days a month on the road interacting with resellers, customers and partners  - Can plan, forecast and manage partnerships and their specific requirements  - Is a natural people-person, one that thrives off of building strong relationships both within the organization and externally  - Can tell a great story; communicates clearly; can capture the interest and attention of 2 or 20 or 200 people at a time.   - Fluent in English and Hindi.  - This position is for West India / North India.  This position is based in Mumbai and involves 10-15 days of travel per month within India.
