Gray Matters’ school assessment offering helps schools improve student learning outcome and parent satisfaction. Gray Matters assess schools based on multiple parameters and analyses how each of these impacts the outcomes in the school. The integrated analytics framework developed by Gray Matters helps in identifying the Key Levers of Change (KLC) and in developing the solution framework for school improvement.

Job Summary:

- As a Sales Manager, you will drive sales and build a dynamic market for the school assessment and school rating offerings. Your success in this role is measured based on your ability to aggregate market, generate demand, build partnerships, achieve sales targets and build relationship with decision makers in the school. In this role, you will maintain a strong customer centric attitude and drive sales and marketing operations. You will be a team player who thrives in a start-up environment and has a passion for improving the quality of education.

Some key responsibilities include:

Sales Management

- Responsible to cover the entire sales cycle which includes prospecting, qualifying, sales and revenue management.

- Drive sales operations by enrolling schools for Gray Matters’ services

- Relationship management with school leaders; present a consistent Gray Matters image to schools; ensure high level of customer satisfaction

- Responsible to track customer information and develop customer intelligence.

- Work with Product Development team to provide continuous inputs based on customer feedback and help improve its value proposition

Marketing Initiatives

- Support in planning and execution of marketing activities to create demand for school assessment and ratings among schools and parents

- Establish the value proposition of Gray Matters rating initiatives among schools and parents

- Join advocacy efforts among the parents regarding school ratings and establish Gray Matters identity

- Manage relationship with Gray Matters solution partners to introduce innovative and affordable solutions to schools thus providing schools an opportunity to improve the quality of education.

- Support marketing operations during GMC’s events which include leadership conferences, leadership training, etc.

Skills:

- A strong customer centric attitude with expertise in sales, client/partner management

- A team player who thrives in a start-up environment and has the passion to improve the quality of education

- Ability to introduce new concepts and help school leaders to understand the value in it.

- Must be a self starter and be able to demonstrate solutions-selling experience

- Ability to understand the needs of the customer, present value proposition and manage the entire sales cycle.

- Superior relationship management and persuasive skills

- Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills

- Disciplined and comfortable working with tight deadlines

- Ability to handle multiple priorities at the same time

Qualification/Experience

- Bachelors/Masters degree in business/commerce/economics/engineering/education

- Minimum 2 years of work experience in selling solutions to educational institutions

- Should be eligible to work in India

- Should be currently located in Hyderabad/Bangalore or should be willing to relocate to Hyderabad/Bangalore

Working Conditions:

This position is based in Hyderabad/Bangalore and will require spending 75% of his/her time in meeting school leaders. Gray Matters’ culture is entrepreneurial and result-oriented.
