Senior Associate - AVS

Analytical and Validation Services:

- The Analytical and Validation Services (AVS) is responsible for delivering all phases of analytical and modeling projects and engagement management for multiple clients in a wide variety of industries.

- The Analytical and Validation Services (AVS) team specifically provides model development, model validation, model documentation, model audits and other analytical services.

- Models in scope include mostly the credit risk models for an institution's lending portfolio. Examples of models in scope are CECL, CCAR, PD/LGD, BSA/AML, Fair Lending, Underwriting, Collections, Fraud Detection and other BAU models.

- Portfolios in scope include Mortgages, Personal Loans, Credit Cards, C&I, CRE, Leasing and others.

- The AVS Associate and Senior Associates works closely with senior managers, managers and staff and plays a key role in client management and practice development.

Location - Bangalore, India.

Responsibilities:

- Guiding junior team members

- Managing client projects

- Managing client interactions

- Extraction of data from systems using SQL, SAS

- Cleaning and transformation of data as required using R, SAS, Python

- Analysis of the data, variables using statistical tools like R, SAS, Python

- Analyze regression model theory and mathematics and provide view on appropriateness of theory based on consultant knowledge of econometrics and statistics

- Run tests to validate selection of independent variables, dependent variable.

- Run tests to re-perform model construction and validate all performance outputs using R, SAS, Python.

- Read and understand the model document

- Write a model validation report covering all aspects of the validation using the SR 11-7 framework

- Develop ongoing monitoring dashboards

- Develop client presentation for client meetings

- Develop proposals for new engagements

- Develop engagement cost and profit estimates ( for GT's client engagement only)

Skills:

- Candidate must have a strong analytical background and

- Domain knowledge of Models in Banks and Financial Services and regulatory programs such as CECL, CCAR, BSA/AML, Fair Lending, Underwriting, Collections, and other models

- Preferred knowledge of ALM, IRR, and pricing models

- Hands on experience in Model development for consumer or commercial portfolio.

- Preferred knowledge of SR 11-7, ASC 326, SR 2012, and other relevant US regulations

- Strong skills in 'R'. Additional skills in VB, Python, SQL are preferred.

- Good communication and documentation skills

Professional Experience / Qualifications:

- Required - 3+ years of demonstrated experience in Commercial and Consumer Analytics

- Required at least 2+ years of demonstrated experience in model development for commercial and consumer portfolio.

- Required - Masters in Statistics, Econometrics, Mathematics

- Coding skills in R, Python SAS, VB, SQL

Preferred - Bachelors in Statistics, Mathematics, Statistics / Econometrics / Mathematics / Other relevant quantitative field (preferable from institutes like Indian Statistical Institutes, Madras School of Economics, DSE, Calcutta University, IGIDR, Gokhale Institute, Toppers from Bangalore University in Statistics, Agricultural Economics )
