Base location : Hyderabad

Godrej Agrovet Limited (GAVL) is a diversified agribusiness company dedicated to improving the productivity of Indian farmers by innovating products and services that substantially increase crop and livestock yields. With FY 2013-14 sales of more than Rs.3,575 Crores, GAVL has interests in Animal feed, Oil palm plantations, Agrochemicals and Poultry processing. Godrej Agrovet has 50 manufacturing facilities across India, a network of over 10,000 rural distributors/dealers, and over 1400 employees.

Godrej Seeds & Genetics Ltd( GSGL) is 100% subsidiary of Godrej Agrovet Limited, incorporated in the year 2011. The Primary business of GSGL is processing and marketing of Hybrid Seeds. The company has been incorporated with a view to enhance productivity of Corn, Rice and Millets in India.

Key Responsibilities:

- Responsible for driving sales in the entire South region; target setting & achievement. Act as a leader, mentor & guide to the sales team.

- Allocating Sales Plan, designing SOP’S, forecasting, financial budgeting and resource allocation.

- Driving systematic growth of business by achieving targets in terms of volumes, values and contribution whilst adhering to Company’s credit policy norms.

- Leading/Guiding the Sales team to co-ordinate supply chain i.e. Logistics, distribution and sales.

- Plan the revenue / budget, monitor and control the budget meant for local sales promotion and keep the working capital within the Company norms.

- New Business Development/expansion through developing new markets, dealers, distributors etc.

Desired Qualifications and skills:

- B. Sc Agriculture; Post Graduates (MBA) will be preferred.

- 7 – 12 years of core sales experience in selling CORN. Only candidates from Seeds industry may apply.

- Should be conversant with commercial transactions.

- Good Communication skills (verbal and written) & Inter-personal skills

- Should be ready to travel across locations as this role would involve managing all the states in South India.
