Position –Manager – Purchase and Supply chain (Agri-Input Business)

Base location: Mumbai, Vikhroli East

Godrej Agrovet Limited (GAVL) is a diversified agribusiness company dedicated to improving the productivity of Indian farmers by innovating products and services that substantially increase crop and livestock yields. With FY 2013-14 sales of more than Rs.3500 Crore, GAVL has interests in animal feed, oil palm plantations, Agrochemicals and poultry processing. Godrej Agrovet has 50 manufacturing facilities across India, a network of ~10,000 rural distributors/dealers, and over 1400 employees.

Key Responsibilities:

- Product Supply Activities that includes purchase of Agro chemicals, RM’s and PMs.

- Identify Buyers and negotiate effectively.

- Negotiate with transporters and arrange for transport of finished goods from factories.

- Liaise with all our factories for the purchase of RM’s and PM’s.

- Place indents with P2P suppliers on Monthly basis.

- Take care of all the required documentation required by the regional offices to obtain sales permissions.

- Liaise with Finance team for all Payment processing.

- Handle the printing of labels and related activities after obtaining the necessary legal permissions.

Desired Qualifications

- Post Graduate/MBA with 3-5 years of relevant experience in Supply chain field.

- Must be from Agro-chemical industry with expert knowledge in chemicals and important raw materials involved in manufacturing.

- Should be ready to travel across locations as this role would involve covering multiple factories and vendors in various locations.
