Your Role Summary - The incumbent will lead procurement of CAPEX items, especially engineering equipment buying, manage project during various phases of identifying suppliers, designing, procurement of machinery & equipment, co-ordination with project teams during commissioning & provide clear vision, direction and procurement strategy Need Assessment: - Incumbent will develop purchasing or sourcing strategies based on portfolio analyses and supplier preferencing study. - Develop, implement and drive the procurement strategies in order to meet targets. - Adopt appropriate supplier management methodologies and procurement strategies in purchasing to secure better prices. - Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness Supplier Negotiation & Selection: - Craft negotiation strategies and close deals with optimal terms - Analyze all suppliers in order to select the most suitable suppliers who are able to deliver high quality products at competitive pricing. - Negotiate with suppliers on lead-time, cost and quality so as to obtain the maximum benefit for the company. - Manage suppliers to meet objectives related to cost, delivery performance, schedule and quality. - Ensure commercial, legal and contractual compliances in all the procurement transactions. Analysis and Stakeholder/ People Management: - Train team on effective procurement processes and strategy. - Collaboration with various stakeholders across functions, including BU teams, special projects teams. Applicant Profile: The incumbent must have CAPEX/MRO/engineering equipment procurement experience of minimum 2 years with excellent communication & negotiation skills. The candidate should have a BE/B.Tech along with MBA and almost 4 - 8 years of experience in procurement function.
