Job Purpose-

This role needs to review, scrutinize and evaluate the bids submitted by the prospective project contractors for reduction in cost, maximize tax benefits and negotiate with the project contractors and ensure issue of contract at the competitive rates. The role also responsible to avail project benefits under the various governments incentive schemes.

The role also to monitor the project payments, contract compliance and co-ordinate with the lenders engineer and compliance with the project finance covenants and advise the accounting team to ensure the correct contract accounting.

Overall the position is responsible from bid evaluation, contract negotiation, contract award, compliance to accounting, and monitoring of project budget.

Key Accountabilities-

1. To review, scrutinize and evaluate the bids submitted by the prospective project contractors for reduction maximization of tax benefits.

2. To Actively participate and negotiate with the Bidders for reduction in cost

3. To review the Draft Contract / agreement clauses to ensure that clauses as per RFP / agreed during negotiations are incorporated.

4. To monitor the contract payments, receipt of PBG, Advance BG etc. and maintain payment control sheet for each contract

5. To ensure proper & timely recovery of amounts from the contractor towards recovery of utilities, damages, penalty etc

6. To monitor the project contract compliance and coordinate with lenders- engineer and ensure compliance with financial covenants

7. To apply, follow up and availment of Project benefits in the form of lower custom duty available to the expansion project under Project import regulation

8. To design a system for monitoring of installation of import items, Bill of entries in order to keep the required documents for in getting the project assessment completed from the Customs deptt.

9. Co-ordinate with the Banks, procurement team and vendor and get the LCs opened for procurement of overseas / domestic materials as per terms of the Contract

10. To ensure closure of contracts as per the contract terms and with all the statutory compliances like building Cess etc. and recovery of dues and obtaining the No due certificates

11. Planning the requirement of project fund based on the project payments and ensuring the fund are available on time / funds are not kept idle

Educational Qualifications:

- Semi Qualified Chartered Accountant / Cost Accountant.

- Knowledge on Commercial Contracts and project management

- Knowledge on EXIM Policy and experience in dealing with DGFT, Ministry of Commerce etc.

- Planning and execution skills

- Negotiation & Controlling skills

- Good in Drafting and communication skills

- Should possess Positive Attitude and flexible

- Knowledge of MS-Office

- 14 - 15 years of relevant experience.
