Urgent Opening for GM/SR GM Automotive Strategy for Strategy Management Group

1. JOB PURPOSE

- To conduct market analyses, competitor analyses; to conceptualize, develop, articulate, and facilitate in executing the Automotive Strategy; Continuously review the existing strategic initiatives in place; Design and develop new strategic initiatives in line with the overall strategy.

2. KEY RESULT AREAS

Strategy Role

1. Conceptualizing, developing, articulating and facilitate the automotive business strategy for long term value creation with complete involvement of the stake holders.

2. Oversees analysis of the market for automotive products, competitor activity, new brand launches etc and formulates an action plan to counter these moves; responsible for scenario planning, competition benchmarking, building key competitive advantage, influencing product portfolio and services, conceptualize new brand and technology offerings and formulate an action plans

3. Create and conceptualize new strategic themes & functional strategy roadmaps based on business requirements & industry benchmarks

4. Creating functional strategies along with respective functional heads so as to align the same with business strategies.

5. Scan for opportunities to grow and expand the business and provide support for tapping the market by liaising with business/function

6. Captures and uses relevant industry trends and knowledge to provide leadership with inputs for formulation of year wise plans and targets and support action and review as required

7. Monitor the short term strategic plan to keep the organization aligned to the changing market and highlight changes in the business environment, and recommend realignment in business strategy, as appropriate.

8. Establishes and manages strong relationships with industry peers and major corporate players that are necessary for ensuring the company's continued growth.

9. Proactively building the AFS Strategy team and on a constant basis to create a talent pool for rotations to and from the AFS strategy team with representations across functions. Perform the role of a people manager – supporting recruitment, setting performance goals for direct reports and monitoring their performance, providing developmental guidance and direction.

3. KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE / SKILLS

A) Qualifications: Graduate, MBA (leading business school).

B) Knowledge & Skills: Strong understanding of Automotive industry in India and globally, knowledge about technology and products, ability to think out of the box, analytical skills, influencing and communication skills, people management, business acumen, strategy and planning skills.

C) Experience: 15+ years of experience of which at least 5 years is Automotive Sector in a leadership role/consulting in the automotive domain.
