HEAD SALES AND MARKETING (PACKAGING MACHINES)

We are a German MNC, world's 5th largest packaging machinery group. We employ over 100 people and manufacture VFFS Machines, Weighing and dosing systems, Cup filling machines for Dahi, Lassi and Ice Cream. The very first machine designed by us received design excellence award. The company's focuses on designing customer value right here in India.

Designation : General Manager Sales and Marketing

Job Location : Pune

Reporting To : MD

ROLE

- Develop results enabling systems and processes, govern and manage market share growth, develop new business, create and maintain high performing teams through innovative ethical leadership.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Generate and pursue business opportunities in hierarchy of real conversion possibility. While meeting order book transactions, correct product positioning, technical value selling and sales closing.

- Keep operations and supply chain engaged in advance for minimum of a quarter by generating robust order book.

- Ensure project clarity, profitability, risk evaluation, manage CWO contract terms and execute the project in synch with IWO and FAT to ensure product delivery. Make sure that timely collection and payment schedules involving C forms are adhered to.

- Input and lay out approval of customer site (and manpower training if needed) to make the project operationally satisfactory to the customer.

- Establish good systems, processes and practices that enable creation of opportunities. Interface with design, supply chain, application engineering, operations and service departments to give sense of market need, competition portfolio and costs and recommend disruptive product innovation.

- Build relationships at the top levels of key accounts that benefit business, manage matrix CRM at the customer organization.

- Create reporting structures, generate reports with analyses for decision making, that reflects competitive business strategy and product mix, with weight age to competition portfolio , costs, volumes and business strategy.

- Create sensitivity in the team to grasp market situation, develop ability to sense and forecast market trends, spot competition inadequacies, customer needs, and be able to do technical value added selling.

- Create framework to inculcate awareness and accountability for self and team about ownership and quick TAT. Extend adequate resources, support, guidance and timely interventions, to sales team in the field that enables effective results.

ACADEMIC AND PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

- BE, B.Tech + an MBA from premier institute

- MS Office suite of products, Presentable, articulate persuasive Communicator. High on energy, Strong networking, follow up - follow through skills. Competitive and high Sense of business urgency. Ability to manage time and work prioritization. A self starter and a quick learner. Analytical mind and high on execution.

Must Critical :

- Highly developed interpersonal skills. A skilled negotiator with strong business acumen. Ablity to grasp customer need, situation and offer technical solutions build around it. Thorough with the product knowledge and technical selling. Ability to manage multiple geographies and lead multi location teams.

- Resourceful innovator, capable to delivers results, ability to manage change and chart the course, motivate and inspire others and raise the performance bar for self and of team, live company values and ethos.

- Desired not Critical - influencing, coaching and mentoring skills.

JOB LEVEL COMPETENCIES

An experience of 10 to 18 years with proven track record of technical, value added products, customized solutions selling, built around customer needs. Ability to quickly size the business potential, excellent motivator and able to manage geographies and multi locational teams. An educated decision maker, superior networking and CRM skills.
