The Organisation is building a digital business with the objective to tap into the growing adoption of the internet for both consumer engagement and as a standalone business. Some of the reasons for the focus on the digital space are as follows:  - Lines between media platforms are blurring. What was initially restricted to traditional Electronic Media like television / radio is now accessible through internet and mobiles  - Digital is already on its way to be the primary medium of consuming entertainment and the Organisation wants to not just build its own new capabilities, but be future-ready when this shift happens at a larger scale  - Most of the companies across sectors (FMCG, Auto, Retail, Telecom et al) are changing their media spends to reflect this change in media mix/ media-planning, as they start spending more and more on digital platforms (Social Media, Web-sales/ mobile WAP/ App creation/ LBS apart from regular mobile/ Email/ SEO/ SEM marketing tools) in a big way. Seeing this trend, the Organisation wants to create its own talent pool and a Sales vertical headed by the Group-Manager - Sales (Digital Initiatives) to tap into this surge of interest.  - The mindset of a successful digital business has to be different than that of a traditional media company, and the Organisation is willing to invest in learning the new skills needed to succeed in this new era.  The Digital Initiatives at the Organisation currently work across multiple platforms – Website, social media innovations, IVR Mobile, online listening, digital content marketing, digital activation etc  Primary Responsibility of the role:  1. To create revenue opportunities across digital platforms of the Organisation  2. Conceptualize new product offerings on the Organisation’s digital platform to help monetize the online business  3. Take concepts to market   4. Work with the digital programming team to create digital content for client companies  5. Maintain and manage client relationships  6. Keep track of competition and new trends in the Digital domain  Skills Required  1. Self driven with high levels of initiative  2. Savvy with and natural inclinations towards technology  3. Active on social media in a personal capacity  4. Ability to work with people across functions and seniority, and to be able to build relationships to get things done  5. Understanding of marketing and brands.  6. A person with imagination and creativity who can see and create possibilities  7. Ability to work in teams across functions, and to work in unstructured situations  8. Proven success record  Liaison:  1. Internal  a. Programming team  b. All heads of departments  2. External  a. Business partners   b. Telecom operators  c. Technical partners  Atleast 5-9 years experience in Corporate Sales/ Account Management with exposure and/or focus on Digital initiatives for Clients. Work Experience will be counted post-MBA from a premier business school.   Should be currently based in Mumbai and continue to have long-term plans for being in Mumbai.
