Job Description of GM Sales:
- Part of down-to up budget planning. & Hence preparation preliminary budget for the year.
- Responsible for achievement of budget of the Zone month wise / yearly budget.
- Implementation of sales & marketing strategies through sales team.
- To ensure each HQ achieves sales budget.
- Interviewing candidates which are screened by RSM’s & ZSM's & recommend for final selection. Identify potential candidates from the field for recruitment.
- Follow up of training programmes to ensure that sales team acquires skills to be effective in the field
- Coverage of key clients for large size business. Identify new business opportunities such as HLM.
- Regular field work with sales team for on job training & improving productivity of sales persons.
Maintaining discipline
- Timely submission of reports
- Having updated client lists.
- Monitoring work norms of sales team.
- Expense control by screening expense statements.
- In exceptional cases recommend disciplinary actions
- Sales data analysis & creating regional strategies to achieve sales budget HQ wise.
- Organizing CME’s participation in conferences, conducting camps for mass promotion.
- Creating network of franchisee & own collection centres for reaching clients & offering excellent services.
- Maintaining team motivation & spirit by solving problems of sales team.
- Help sales officers / ASM’s to earn more money by earning incentives.
- Coordination with logistics & operations to provide excellent services
- Screen potential candidates for promotions
- First level of appraisal of sales team
- Feedback of competitors & own strategies to management.
- Identifying new markets for business expansion.
- Ensure timely recovery of money & avoid bad debts.
