Qualification : B.E./ B.Tech (Mech. Engg. / Rubber technology)
Experience : 10-15 yrs
Special Essential/Must :
- On the job experience in PCR/UVR Tyre development for European market
- Experience in PCR design / compound development & process technology
REPORTS TO : VP PD - Passenger
Location : R&D- Gujrat
Job purpose :
To lead new product development and meet QCDs of PCR/UVR category targeted for European market from concept to market launch and manage the entire product life-cycle .
Key Responsibilities :
New Product Development :
- Drive new product development initiatives from end-to - end conforming to the target QCDs.
- Market / Customer analysis, competitor analysis.
- Know-how transfer and internal NPD capability enhancement
- Product Industrialization
Product Performance :
- Product performance feedback & improvement
- Product complaint analysis & support technical/field service
Technical Economy :
- To ensure effective cost optimization
Product Certifications/Homologation :
- To ensure product compliance
Strategic Projects :
- Lead & carryout strategic projects aligning with R&D roadmap/strategy
Functional : PCR/UVR Tyre development (Advanced)
COMPETENCIES : ( end to end Development from concept to market launch and product life cycle management)
Business Focus : Advanced - Knowhow on organization mission, Code of conduct, product SKUs, accountabilities w.r.t market scenario & competition & ability to apply in one's role
Proficiency in Tyre design / Technology : Capable - Technical knowhow & ability in tyre design, compounding, production processes, systems, layout plans and quality measure

Data Interpretation Ability : Capable - Ability to study & interpret data/trends and draw inferences/projections
