GM - Paint Application Technology Process - Auto

We are looking for a General Manager for Paintshop Application Technology Process for one of our clients which is a German Based MNC serving the automotive industry.

Designation : General Manager (Application Technology)

Experience: 12 - 15 years in Paint application technology / Robotics function

Team Size: 20

Reporting to: Managing Director

Reporting Place: Chennai

Functional Area: Application Technology & Robotics

Key Responsibilities:

Ensure formulation of strategic and financial business plans covering sales, costs, capital expenditure and manpower resources for the APT Function

Ensure that the processes & Communication in the sales & project development and marketing are set and are in line with the Group's Sales Guidelines

Develop & Implement Long term business Plan & Strategy for APT Business Unit for Indian Market

Develop & nurture Business Relationships with Key Customers like Hyundai, Ford, GM, Tata Mahindra, Etc.,

Support APT DSDE Team during the Sales & Project Development Phase for new projects

Achieve the Already Set Business Plan Targets for APT India - Incoming Orders, Gross Margin & Growth (YOY)

Achieve the APT India Service Growth Targets in line with Business Plan & mid term plan.

Increase the Local Content in the complete APT Package by development of local capability & Vendor Base for projects Execution

Develop & Implement Profitable Spare Parts business for APT India

Meet the Projects time lines & Quality standards for the local Installation activities & other services.

Monitor achievement of Departmental objectives through regular performance and development reviews

Participate in regular management meetings, reviewing overall company activities /performance.

Review operating processes and modify if necessary

Adhere to the Company's Operating Norms

Undertake any other duties as reasonably requested by immediate Superior

Support colleagues in achieving targets set for other functions

Competence Requirements

Required Skill Set:

Excellent Technical & Analytical Skills in Paint application technology and Robotics function

Ability to develop & Maintain close customer relationships

Ability to develop Business Plans & Strategies to achieve long term growth objectives

In depth Knowledge of the automotive industry & Customer Installation base

An ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines
