GM - Outdoor Testing (Commercial Vehicles) (Pune)

Responsibilities:

DOMAIN KNOWLEDGE:

Knowledge of domestic & international vehicle test standards/regulations; Vehicle test instrumentation ; Benchmarking; subjective & objective target setting test plan & execution; prototype planning'DVP finalization;reliability target definition.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

- Responsible for analysis related to failure of components during the testing phase and management of the testing and validation of all prototypes of Commercial Vehicles as a functional head.

- Responsible for the performance review and skill updations of team members(through the analysis related to failure components for achieving better quality results) , project progress , quality standards and deployment of processes within the support functions.

- Review adherence to quality norms , audits like ISO , TBEM , ISO/TS 16949, Safety , OHSAS , SHE , etc.by setting up robust internal processes and also contributing to divisional balance score card.

- Monitoring the progress of CAPEX & other financial activities of the department and also co-ordinating with support functions like shops and instrumentation lab.

- Interaction with NPI team and Cascading of inputs(Provided by NPI) to formulate further action plan and allocation of responsibilities.

- Involvement in creation of new test tracks , development and maintainence of existing test tracks and instrumentation facilities.

- Development of new test standards as per the regulatory guidelines.

- Monitoring the progress of various validation projects and communicating the updations to the senior management for timely future decisions.

- Develop people for superior performance

a) Motivate and Guide subordinates to enable them achieve organisational goals

b) Periodically review subordinate performance and identify development needs

c) Organise relevant training for employee development"

- Strategic development and allocation of resources , skills & functions.

- Develop risk taking capabilities and encourage actions to demonstrate the same

- Lead knowledge management efforts to leverage existing knowledge base in different areas of the division and provide support to other divisions in terms of knowledge requirement
