Job Description :
The role is core to defining the strategy & growth of business.
- Leading Category Management - Taking end to end P&L ownership of categories offered and driving aggressive sales through frequent category enhancement
- Create short term and long term business plans with how lists
- Create clear career paths for team members and help them grow with regular & deep mentoring
- Understand the market in detail, identify the target segments, understand their needs and contemporary trends - Conduct business analysis to maximize opportunities to achieve continued growth and profitability for Vendor and Company
- Competitive Vendor Management & consolidation of business partner ecosystem - selecting, negotiating & strategic planning with vendors and building a business partner ecosystem to procure products at reasonable price, quality & service levels
- Scaling the Vendor On boarding process and improving SLA Compliance
- Understanding loop holes in current vendor management and bridging the gap
- Pricing & promotion management - Forecast sales, develop indicative seasonal plans, price merchandise, create promotional strategies
- Developing innovative ways to deal with current eCommerce competitors by ideating super deals and customer delight initiatives
- Plan & communicate merchandising strategies to all Vendor partners to ensure that goals are met/surpassed on a regular basis
- Own customer & seller experience and drive their loyalty - Conduct customer analytics to understand buying behavior and purchase patterns to optimize customer & seller engagement and conversion
- Partner with product team to improve customer & seller experience. Work with them to develop tools and measures to improve conversion rates & GMV
