ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Conceptualising and driving implementation of distribution network, covering entire North India, including UP, Rajasthan and North MP.

2. Enhancing the distribution network. Increase the no. of distributors to 400, from present no. of 120.

3. Recruitment, training and mentoring of new personnel, as per the plan.

4. Should be able to manage a team size of more than 300 people.

5. Reviewing/Redefining Channel Margins and Terms of Trade of distributors.

6. Dealer evaluation and helping distributors in appointing new dealers.

7. Sales planning, reviewing sales MIS.

8. Planning and implementation of trade schemes, field force incentives.

9. BTL activities, including market visibility and local promotions.

10. Feedback and Budgetary Control Mechanisms for support expenditure.

11. Should have strong commercial acumen.

12. Exposure of Supply Chain Management would be an added advantage.Job brief

- Driving the successful creation of a new channel which involved defining and implementing new processes; designing market coverage plans, taking all stakeholders along and sharing the company vision

- Expertise in determining company's mission and strategic direction as conveyed through policies & corporate objectives

Desired Profile of Candidate:

Candidate should be an MB\A from a reputed institute and have relevant job experience. He should manifest high level of energy. Should be a strong communicator and have good interpersonal skills. Excellent knowledge in MS Office applications, and ability to plan and execute are desired.

Candidate having experience in industries with a strong distribution reach to end consumers, such as FMCG/FMCD are only preferred

Desired Work Experience: Around 20 yrs

Location: New Delhi

As a National sales manager, you should use your creativity and thorough knowledge of sales processes to provide innovative ideas for business growth. Communication and team management skills are also essential for this position.

Ultimately, you should aspire to develop and maintain successful relationships with large, distributed customers.

Responsibilities

- Develop and implement effective sales strategies

- Lead nationwide sales team members to achieve sales targets

- Establish productive and professional relationships with key personnel in assigned customer accounts

- Negotiate and close agreements with large customers

- Monitor and analyze performance metrics and suggest improvements

- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual sales forecasts

- Perform research and identify new potential customers and new market opportunities

- Provide timely and effective solutions aligned with clients- needs

- Liaise with Marketing and Product Development departments to ensure brand consistency

- Stay up-to-date with new product launches and ensure sales team members are on board

Requirements

- Proven work experience as a National sales manager

- Experience managing a high performance sales team

- Knowledge of CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite

- An ability to understand and analyze sales performance metrics

- Solid customer service attitude with excellent negotiation skills

- Strong communication and team management skills

- Analytical skills with a problem-solving attitude

- Availability to travel as needed
