Designation : GM-Marketing equivalent to CMO( Myanmar,Bangladesh,Sri Lanka,Nepal)

Department : Marketing

Key Responsibilities:

- Deliver category ( the category contributes to almost 86% of total company business )the leading growth in the category for the company (Myanmar, Bangladesh, Nepal and Sri Lanka).

- Deliver the growth plans from 2017 to 2020 through a combination of market activation programs, innovations and new product launches, and commercial innovation activities.

- Provide local insights and inputs for communication development and timely deployment of brand campaigns in multimedia. Prioritize investments among growing brand portfolio.

- Support brand growth by conducting timely analysis of industry trends, consumer insights, market competitiveness with the objective of enhancing brand market share, sales volume and visibility.

- Lead cross functional teams on important brand projects.

- Role requires strategic thinking to break barriers and build relevance. It also requires a high degree of execution speed as multiple interventions need to be done across consumer, trade and expert touch points in parallel.

Developing brand strategies -

- Contribute to the development, and drive the reinforcement and implementation of long term brand strategies

- Spearhead the delivery of launches including claims innovations, packaging & product development.

- This person will also contribute towards development of pricing strategies, and help formulate value analysis on the brands, including ownership of delivery of cost saving proposals

Innovation -

- Provide inputs & insights for brand innovation. This will be a combination of innovations on product, packaging, claims generation.

- Help identify NPD opportunities

Accountability for results -

- Deliver the brand P&Ls, by taking lead in conceptualizing & securing agreement on and implementation of brand plans, within available resources to achieve plan sales and profits.

- Will be responsible for securing agreement & releasing annual media, communications, and key accounts/activation briefs. Will be the first point of contact on any crisis management on the brands. Will drive the medical marketing strategies. Will have to own the Perfect Punch & effectiveness measures of all brand plans

Multi-cultural responsibilities-

- The role is based in India and requires high level of interaction with teams of Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and the Global category team as well as members of other functions such as R&D, GMS, Procurement, and Finance, both in India and at a global level. Hence this job requires a degree of multi-cultural responsibility.

Education & Experience:

- MBA Marketing from premier business institute

- 10 - 13 years of experience

- Experience of Myanmar, Bangladesh, Nepal and Sri Lanka markets is a must for this position.

- Top rated manager who has managed established brands - strong fundamental knowledge of Market research, advertising, Media planning and proven digital marketing experience. Preferable if he / she has had new product launch experience, with cross functional project management skills

- High energy level, innovative thinking and passion for driving growth through penetration and higher consumption.

- Ability to lead a cross-functional team who do not directly report to this role.

- Ability to align and influence senior stakeholders -CEO and MD of the regions
