Job Purpose:

1. Lead strategic technological planning by prioritizing technology initiatives and coordinating the evaluation, deployment, and management of current and future technologies.

2. Analyze and improve upon Enterprise Architecture & technology standards across the business to maintain a technological edge, reduce complexity & cost.

3. Ensure continuous delivery of Common technical services through oversight of service level agreements with application/BRM teams.

4. Direct development and execution of an enterprise-wide disaster recovery plan

KRA:

1. Strategy & Planning:

- Develop and communicate business/technology alignment plans to executive team and stakeholders.

- Develop business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for technology spending and initiatives.

- Collaborate with the appropriate departments to develop and maintain a technology plan that supports organizational needs

- Assess and communicate risks associated with technology-related investments and purchases.

2. Enterprise Architecture & Technology standards :

- Study and understand best practices as recommended by industry bodies, consulting firms & used by other leading companies

- Jointly work with BRM, ASG & GIT to identify standards to suit business need.

- Develop & maintain Enterprise Architecture

- Analysis of current IT environment to detect critical deficiencies (architectural integration related) & work closely with Application team for remedial actions

- Drive Technology Architecture Board.

3. Deliver best in class SLAs for common Technology services

- Develop & Implement processes for Technology services

- Review & approve approach + plans for upgrades and major functionality enhancements

- Conduct regular service review with vendor performance to drive service improvements

- Proactively work with vendor to understand future roadmap & impact on current technology \landscape

- Ensure equipment and software operation adheres to applicable laws and regulations

- Prepare & track the annual operating and capital budgets.

4.

Project Management for new technology initiative

- Present business case & investments to IT steering committee to get sign-off.

- Work with BRM to create cross functional project execution team

- Review & approve Project plan for completeness & identify dependencies

- Review regular project progress & provide direction to resolve any issues

5.Disaster recovery & Major incident handling Plan

- Collaborate with CISO & BRM for Business Impact Analysis for various IT Applications & processes.

- Evaluate & Recommend the technical approach for recovery based on business requirement of Recovery Point Objective(RPO) & Recovery Time Objective( RTO)

- Build DR task force by clearly defining roles/responsibilities of the Crisis Management team & the Recovery team.

- Develop and maintain a formal Disaster Recovery plan & Major incident handling process

- Evaluate, implement & manage tools to automate Disaster recovery & BCP Coordination/communication

6. Ensure that emerging technologies are scanned and analyzed in detail for effective deployment.

- Keep track of market trends & service offerings for cloud computing

- Conduct easibility study for existing infrastructure, technology & applications

- Formulate Cloud strategy in consultation with BRM for existing & future requirements

- Evaluate cloud service providers & facilitate cloud migration for defined scope

7. People Management:

Responsible for performance, evaluation & development team (incl. succession planning)

Manage resourcing and deployment for technology projects/ support

Frame and implement plans for

- Identification and retention of talent in the team, especially, high performers

Qualification:

B.E Electronics

Masters in computer (preferred)
