Desired Skills & Experience:

- CA with around 10 to 12 years of post qualification experience from the manufacturing industry only.

- Should have driven/headed the accounting department of manufacturing plant independently for at least 10 years in a large and geographically spread India based organization.

- Extensive experience and knowledge in dealing with accounting systems, budgets, internal controls, business planning, and asset management.

- Consultative and collaborative approach to managing designated departments.

- Fosters a collaborative environment for cross-functional communication.

- Hires, trains and retains competent accounting staff.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare the annual operating budget, with the approval of the CFO.

- Ensure continual budget monitoring and cost containment execution.

- Ensure accurate record keeping and strong internal controls are maintained at all times.

- Developing strategies, analysis & recommendations to support the growth and expansion of the business

- Providing detailed reports to the CFO and ensuring meaningful insights and recommendations are delivered accordingly.

- Review and present monthly financial statements, ensuring compliance with reporting deadlines.

- Administer and oversee all contracts, ensuring due diligence and financial prudence.

- Supervise and provide senior leadership to the function and department.

- Serves as the liaison to internal and external auditors and examiners.

- Manage key strategic projects, ensuring that deadlines are met, and project obstacles are overcome.

- Manage all aspects of invoice processing and intercompany accounting.

- Serve as the integration point between Accounts Payable and Treasury Operations and the Controllers group.

- Making sure the organization is up to date and aware of new accounting regulations and standards.

- Identifying opportunities for improvement and cost reduction.

- Monitors changes and implements required internal procedures to comply with authoritative guidance in a cost effective manner.

- Participates in audits as directed by the corporate audit function
