GM - Distribution - Retail/FMCG

We are seeking a GM Distribution for one of the well known MNC FMCG Brands.

This position is based in Gurgaon and reports to the Director of Supply Chain

Candidate Experience and skill set :

a) Essential: Minimum 10- 12 years relevant experience, of which at least 4-5 years should be in creating and managing the distribution network.

Candidates with hardcore experience in distribution function of Retail , FMCG or Food company will be preferred.

b) Strong Experience in supply chain, mainly in the area of distribution with experience of distribution planning and warehousing and also exposure in transportation.

c) Strong strategic and commercial skills including negotiation skill.

d) Excellent interpersonal & communication skills. Ability to influence at senior levels of the organization internally, franchise partners & suppliers.

e) Effective people manager. Excellent team leadership skills with proven ability of leading and developing high-performing teams.

KRA's :

- Providing Support to director distribution in developing and executing distribution strategy for competitive advantage, cost optimization & supply availability.

- Managing relations with Distributors and transport partners

- Co-ordinating with the Procurement team & cross functional teams of Marketing, Quality, Finance and Operations

- Developing the strategy for expanding to new markets and supporting the growth.

- Ensuring New product launches and supply continuity

- Enhancing the Distribution capacity & capability development to ensure supply continuity for growing requirements, managing supply contingencies

- Ensuring Statutory compliance and Support international audit for well controlled rating across D

- Building a strong team, coaching & developing the team.
