Our client is looking for GM/DGM, Maintenance (Mechanical Head)

Location : Coimbatore

Key Responsibilities :

- Overall responsibilities for the Maintenance function at the plant.

- Conduct root cause analysis of machine related problems, evaluate Engineering loss time and derive measures to prevent the loss.

- Responsible for maintaining machine Health in good condition.

- Co-ordinate effectively to carryout Preventative Maintenance, Time Base Maintenance, Condition Base maintenance etc.

- Understand Budgeting the requirement for maintenance and adhere to the Budget.

- Advice Management on the machine health

- Plan and execute Capex and monitor the realization.

- Co-ordinate for execution of expansion project and give timely inputs for projects.

- Take up projects which drive Sustainability aspects of the location.

- Responsible for the automation of the machines.

- Guide the Mechanical team to develop sustainable best-in-class work practices in order to improve the competitiveness of the plant

- Identify areas of skill development, facilitate training programs, set targets and review performance, guide, direct and mentor team members, identify opportunities for job rotation and job enrichment in order to develop people capabilities and build a performance driven work culture

Candidate Profile :

- A bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering

- Working knowledge of Tamil language

- The incumbent will have at least 15 years of experience in tyre industry

- Should have through knowledge on plant Machinery like, Mixing, Calendaring, Extrusion, Tyre Building Machine & Tyre Curing presses. Also understanding of Basics on utilities is must

- Demonstrated ability to lead people and obtain results through others

- Strong communication, analytical and planning skills

- Self-starter with the ability to work well with others

- Understanding and demonstrated knowledge of Manufacturing Excellence Practices like TPM, 5S, Kaizen, QC Tools

- An open and honest interpersonal style
