GM/DGM - Engineering Purchase

- Lead and manage the team of buyers to deliver the appropriate support the business to ensure the corporate and business development objectives are met. Work along the senior management team in contributing to overall business objectives.

- Responsible for ongoing management or purchase strategy and activity and for ensuring optimal supplier performance and price.

- Develop and implement a strategy to ensure the engineering purchase function is operating in line with the objectives of the business to add value mitigate supply chain risk and deliver cost savings.

- Develop and maintain strategic supplier relationships and manage the development of contracts contractual relationships, and contract management to deliver continuous improvement in the delivery of goods and services by the supply base.

- Procurement to pay cycle with compliance to all SOPs for Goods and services, equipment & and machinery, contracts for site work, and HO.

- Ensuring timely execution of purchase activities from purchase requisition to delivery including timely issuing of purchase requisition, obtaining quotes preparation of commercial comparative statement, and vendor/contract negotiations.

- Expediting material delivery with the supplier and addressing action plans for any concerns.

- Manage vendor payments and other any commercial matters.

- Vendor List and new Vendor Development through appropriate due diligence.

- Prepare reports on purchases, including unit-wise PR/PO statistics, and savings reports.

- Get the best savings by hard negotiations with vendors and contractors.

- Coach Mentor and develop direct reports and manage a high-performing team that delivers continuous improvement, added value, and cost reductions.

- Ensure that all vendors and contractors operate in accordance with health safety and environment policies and procedures.

- Timely issuing purchase order, Minimise PR to PO issue lead time.
