We are presently hiring for our client which is a global leader in the Logistics industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Ownership of the P&L and performance of the business unit
- Must have in-depth understanding & knowledge of the express industry landscape and clearly understand our competitors across major focus regions.
- Preparation of Annual & Strategic Business Plan that improves efficiency and long- term profitability of the business budget.
- Drive value creation, operation effectiveness and improved customer experience.
- Steer improvement initiatives with focus on streamlining & leading operations with proactive planning, introducing new concepts, drive change, etc. Successful in streamlining of line haul, feeder route to maximize profit and operation delivery efficiency.
- Provide operational leadership and management, ensuring accurate operational controls, measurement and reporting systems to support safe, effective, and reliable operations
- Rapid and aggressive expansion of Franchise, Customer Convenience Centre for strengthening last mile delivery and rapid growth of Business across the country.
- Strong understanding of commercials, negotiations, and costing
- Adhere to laid down policies governing Credit control and credit offerings to customers. the organizations policies for ensuring no bad debts account /unpaid dues.
- Own and manage key relations in the trade conferences, media, and Government.
- Ensure norms are being followed in every aspect and department of the business unit.
- Provide accurate, timely qualitative feedback on regular set report mechanisms existing in the -organization Monthly Business Reports (commercial feedback) and projections to CEO.
- Be aligned and adherent to the Company Media and Brand - Communications policy.
Key Requirement
- MBA, with or without an engineering background, with a deep understanding of the Express Distribution
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in developing express distribution network infrastructure
- Leadership role and strategic planner with proficiency in marketing Express products, conducting market research, launching new products, accelerating growth and achieving business targets
- Deft in and managing the operations of a pan-India express business with key focus on bottom line profitability.
- Exceptional communication skills backed by strong listening skills to develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent leadership capability with the ability to ensure commercial targets and budgets are achieved by the sales team.
- Good interpersonal skills, excellent team building capabilities, planning, co-ordination, and decision-making skills
- Demonstration of strong planning skills essential and good project management skills
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to effectively work with/coach senior leadership.
- Strong desire to improve our service, products, and processes, with ability to drive continuous improvement.
- Ability to work across the business to implement and execute change.
- Ability to impact organization results through influence across organizational boundaries.
- Strong networker, influencer, and team player.
