GM - Analytics

Responsibilities :

- Manage the Active Equity research team, providing leadership, coaching and guidance to ensure that goals and objectives are met; translate strategic plans and goals for the unit into tactical plans and objectives for setting priorities. Make decisions operational matters and ensure operation objectives are effectively achieved

- Act as a key member of Global Equity Leadership team by providing expert input into the overall strategy, goals, targets, initiatives, and budgets for the Equity business area

- Oversee Research teams strategies and processes for analysis and recommendation approaches

- Ensure appropriate support is provided to the Investment Management team

- Oversee the preparation and editing of research publications for distribution to clients and the company's branch network

- Determine and track performance measure/ criteria) for all the members of the Research team

- Lead the day-to-day operations of the Research team to ensure optimum effectiveness and efficiency

- Contribute to the Global Equity Leadership team by providing expert input into the overall strategy, goals, targets, initiatives, and budgets for the Equity business area

- Oversee/directs staff hiring, development, performance management and compensation Qualifications Required

- Advanced Degree and several years of directly related investment experience

- Experience managing multi-billion dollar global equity portfolios with a proven track record of superior investment performance

- Seasoned manager with extensive product knowledge and expertise within functional discipline (subject matter expert)

- Understanding of firm-wide products and inter dependencies between departments in the organization; has experience as a leader across several specialty areas Desired

- Strong communication skills and the ability to successfully represent the equity research group in front of clients and the media

- Strong management skills; demonstrated leadership ability.
