Global Treasury Business Continuity Manager

Location Bengaluru / Bangalore

UK SHIFT

Responsibilities:

- Responsible for supporting and assisting the management of compliance processes, procedures and documentation in order to meet the policies of Global Treasury and Operations Groups and support its regional regulatory and BCP obligations.

Compliance

- Oversee the management of all control group requests, audits, and inquiries.

- Review and ensure compliance with Treasury policies within the Treasury Operations Center and business units reviewing exception requests and submitting for approval

- Review policy/procedural changes for impact on current operations. Update SOPs (on an on-going basis)

- Review processes and recommend improvements to Treasury Operations management and for the business in partnership with the Global Treasury Operations group

- Provide guidance/education on compliance best practices to Treasury Operations management

- Ensure that existing controls are effective and auditable and that proper segregation of duties is maintained at all times

- Liaise with the SOX testing team, Internal Audit and external auditors on behalf of Treasury Operations function and provide SOX/Audit requests (review requests for reasonableness and scope; ensure samples provided are clean and satisfy request)

- Document processes for compliance testing and SOX documentation and coordinate remediation of risk events, control deficiencies, SOX issues

- Perform sample testing functions to ensure continual compliance with SOPs and control group requirements and review and provide requested evidence of process and system output for testing. (SOX, ORM, PWC, IAD)

- Review documentation from businesses and Treasury Operations that provides evidence that they are adhering to the established control, including:

Daily Payment Activity

Access Management (New Users, User Re-Certification, Modified Users and De-activated Users).

Other Cash Management operational activity

- Oversee Bank Account/Signatory recertification. Monitor and report on process control failures. Coordinate with BU and Corporate Compliance on OFAC adjudication process, client and vendor screening, anti-money laundering. Liaise with the SOX testing team, Internal Audit and external auditors on behalf of Treasury Operations function

- Identify and document risk events and processes for mitigating them in the future Summarize and report (quarterly) on Cash Management Operations / Bank Admin / Production Support compliance to senior leadership

- Collect requested audit documentation including maintenance of reporting logs including complaints, breaches and error logs and research, analyze, and respond to regulatory, compliance, risk, and audit inquiries.

- Act as an independent control voice to Treasury Operations leadership

BCP

- Coordinate BCP for Treasury Operations Center(including testing and documentation)

- Summarize and report (quarterly) on readiness of Cash Management Operations / Bank Admin / Production Support for BCP

- Ensure group procedure documentation are proactively maintained and kept up to date

- Working with the Treasury Operations Center managers, oversee the development, maintenance and testing of business continuity planning (BCP) including the establishment maintenance, and coordination of in-region and out-of-region business continuity plans for critical Treasury Operations functions.

- Lead the periodic testing of Treasury BCP plans.

- Ensure Treasury Operations staff and systems are prepared and equipped to operate under business continuity conditions

- Co-ordinate with the Global Head of Business Continuity Planning for Treasury on Regional Treasury Operations BCP plans

- Assist with the quarterly recertification review process.

General

- Ensure adherence to all Treasury policies and controls

- Effectively communicate any policy or process changes within COE, Regional Treasury teams and business units

- Continuously seek to improve processes, systems and service standards and to implement best practice cash management procedures that reflects the needs of Treasury

- Attract, recruit and retain talent for the Cash Management Operations (CMO) team

- Manage, motivate and act as advisor to team members to enable them to perform to the very best of their abilities

- Escalate issues as necessary and contribute to addressing service issues with internal and external customers, banks, custodians and counterparties

- Partner with other areas of Treasury, and the business to deliver best-in-class Treasury Operations services

- When required, perform ad hoc duties to ensure sufficient coverage to meet operational needs

- Assist with ad hoc Treasury projects as needed including the implementation of new Treasury platforms

Experience:

- 7-10 years of work experience in a large corporate Treasury or cash management environment or a control group setting for a finance area; auditing role also helpful

- Prior experience with treasury management systems (TMS), electronic bank payment systems, cash pooling, and short term investments trading systems

- Can demonstrate knowledge of cash management

- Project management experience

- Independent thought, approachability and openness to challenge and change

- Knowledge and experience of Treasury BCP plans and business critical processes

- Knowledge and experience of SOX and controls for mitigating risks

- Prior experience in compliance testing and Sox testing of operational controls.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a Business related area

- MBA or Master's Degree in related field a plus

- Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) and/or, Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) Preferred

- Knowledge of payments, clearing systems and associated bank messaging (e.g., SWIFT/BAI)

- Must possess strong interpersonal skills (both verbal and written)

- Proficient in Microsoft office; specifically Excel and PowerPoint
