Global Music Institute - Manager - Admissions

- Ensure achievement of enrollment goals and objectives.

- Assist in the planning, development and implementation of Division marketing and enrollment strategies and exercise primary responsibility for execution of such strategies in areas of individual responsibility

- Interview students, conduct group information sessions, and travel throughout the region to represent GMI at high schools, colleges, college fairs, public and service organizations, and performing arts festivals

- Review admission applications and credentials to determine eligibility for admission

- Field incoming communications (telephone calls and emails) from prospective students, parents, and college counselors interested in knowing or receiving information about the details of academic programs and community at GMI

- Make outgoing communications (telephone calls, emails) to prospective students, parents and college counselors

- Maintain a strong understanding and accurate account of information about the academic programs and GMI community

- Assist in the development, maintenance and execution of the department's communication plan to prospective and admitted students

- Initiate unsolicited leads and generate new business when appropriate

- Speak publicly to individuals and groups during events and meetings on- and off-campus

- Develop and maintain close working relationships with key secondary school constituents

- Facilitate the enhancement and maintenance of the admission social media plan that is designed to engage prospective students, their families, and others who desire a relationship with GMI

- Provide basic information and routine advice, guidance and assistance to prospective and current students using established procedures and policies on available programs and eligibility requirements, including the application of policies, procedures and documentation regarding the admissions process

- Serve as a liaison between the student and the community of GMI; and assist in the completion of necessary enrollment forms

- Identify and suggest possible areas of collaboration, association in the region

- In collaboration with the team, plan and facilitate a range of event and ensure appropriate media coverage

- Maintain proper data as needed, such as database, executing reports to assess effectiveness of admission policies and procedures

- Stay current on industry trends and best practices of the profession of college admission counseling

- Monitor admission trends and market research in assigned territories in order to make decisions about how to most effectively recruit area (includes competitors' literature and strategies, demographic analysis, trend analysis, etc.)
