Global Head Learning and Development is accountable for building learning and development platforms and solutions consistent with company strategies and initiatives. The Global Head Learning and Development collaborates with leadership to identify learning and development gaps and determine training objectives. The Global Head Learning and Development develops strategic planning and implementation of organization training services. The Global Head Learning and Development drives organizational effectiveness programs including but not limited to the following: Performance Management, Succession Planning, Leadership Development, etc.

Oversees the design and execution of global learning and development, philosophies, processes, strategies, and programs. Collaborates with leadership to provide consultation regarding company learning and development platforms and solutions. Performs needs analysis to diagnose performance gaps. Partners with leadership in determining training strategies, objectives, and guides them through the implementation process.

Accountable for establishing global learning systems, standards, and solutions (i.e. classroom, web based, virtual, coaching, etc.) to meet business and/or individual needs. Directs staff in the process of identifying learning solution methodologies, theories, process tools, techniques, etc. Oversees in the execution and maintenance of learning and development programs. Responsible for leading in the budget forecasting processes; accountable for providing cost control oversight

Determines global learning and development program impact. Designs evaluation tools, methodologies, and establishes training metrics and reporting requirements. Develops processes to assure applied learning provides measurable return on the investment and are in compliance with established initiatives.
Drives organizational effectiveness programs including but not limited to the following: Performance Management, Succession Planning, Change Management, etc

Directs the management of employees including: training and development, workflow and organizational planning, with the executive leadership team to evaluate programs and to ensure the they meet strategic intent.

Desired Skills and Experience

- Master’s degree in Human Resources or similar experience.

- 15 + years experience in learning technologies and professional instructional design for a global company desired.

- The ability to 'roll up your sleeves' is also essential as this blends both the strategic with the hands on L&D.

- Effectively presents and articulates ideas and plans, and build organizational momentum behind strategies. should have had prior experience as a Trainer in conducting Training programs

- Must have ability to create learning and development approaches, leadership development, change management and global organizational development initiatives.

- Strong business acumen with experience in translating business strategy into practice solutions that support the goals of the business.

- Demonstrates strong organizational savvy, relationship building skills and consulting ability.

- Must have demonstrated expertise in analytics and metrics to best understand organization issues relative to key business goals. Ability to apply analysis tools and choose correct learning and development strategy.

- Experience in partnering with key stakeholders to understand business needs and work collaboratively to a solution.

- Proven ability in project management, influencing, negotiation and consulting skills.

- Displays a strong sense of priority setting and effectively utilize resources to evaluate and apply problem solving methodology and strategic planning to make sound decisions.

- Strong leadership, team development and motivation skills required.
