GL Controller

We are seeking a qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) or Semi Qualified with 5+ years of experience to fill the role of GL Controller. GL Controller will oversee all aspects of financial management, including financial reporting, auditing, internal controls, and compliance. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical skills, advanced knowledge of accounting principles, and the ability to manage complex financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage finance and accounting operations in day-to-day operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll

- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP or IFRS standards

- Develop and maintain internal controls to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data

- Independently handle audit process, liaising with external and internal auditors and providing necessary documentation and explanations

- Evaluate and implement accounting policies, procedures, and systems to improve efficiency and effectiveness

- Manage cash flow, working capital, and liquidity to support the company's operations and growth objectives

- Prepare and file statutory financial reports and tax returns in compliance with regulatory requirements

- Provide periodic financial analysis and support for management reporting by making sure accuracy of books in alignment with the Group policies

Qualifications:

- Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification is preferred

- 5+ years of experience in accounting or finance roles, with a focus on financial reporting and analysis

- Thorough understanding of accounting principles, standards, and regulations

- Experience in managing financial operations

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and trends

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels

- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g. Oracle or similar) and earlier experience in Automation will be very helpful

- Experience with ERP systems implementation and integration is preferred but not required

- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage competing priorities effectively

- High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail

This job will be based out at Pune location, so candidate based out at Pune location would be preferred.
