Over the last 20 years, Give has partnered with hundreds of companies - from large ones like ICICI, HDFC, TCS, Google, Microsoft, Amex, KPMG, Coca Cola to new-age startups like Flipkart, Ola, Myntra and others - to drive corporate philanthropic giving in India. Through the India Covid Response Fund (ICRF), we partnered with various institutions globally to deploy INR 800+ crore of institutional grants (CSR, foundations & employee giving). In Oct 2022, Give acquired the CSR business from Goodera and combined with its own institutional giving practice, launched Give Grants with a sharp focus on 'making CSR giving better' in India.

Give Grants is now an end-to-end giving partner with offerings that include:

1) A comprehensive SaaS platform for grant management, monitoring & evaluation, and compliance

2) Services for partner identification, monitoring & evaluation, impact reporting, compliance and impact assessment

3) End-to-end extended CSR team for our clients

About the role:

Our clients rely on our expertise in social impact, and our knowledge of nonprofits and their programs across multiple sectors (education, health, livelihoods, climate action and many more) to guide them in their CSR journey. We are setting up a dedicated team, the Impact Knowledge Hub, to own this mandate. We are looking for a leader to lead this team and establish Give Grants as a trusted partner for our CSR clients. The role is new and brings an opportunity to engage with CSR, foundations & NGOs to learn and establish a few industry norms.

You will be primarily responsible for

1) Impact expertise

- Conduct development research and build social impact narrative across multiple sectors of the Give portfolio, including but not limited to, education, health, livelihoods and climate action

- Maintain constant interactions with nonprofits across India, and enable the creation of a template of programs and capabilities in alignment with CSR

- Champion the sector thought leadership through whitepapers, articles, participation at key development sector events

- Develop impact frameworks - design, measurement, benchmarking relevant to the Give Portfolio

- Build and maintain the M&E data library for multiple interventions/models

2) Learning

- Build the impact expertise for internal teams or external partners as needed network and onboard a circle of experts from the sector team

- Lead a 3-4 member team with ownership for hiring, training and career growth

You will provide guidance and support to your team (as needed) as they work on

1) Knowledge base

- Build and maintain NGO repository across causes

- Deep-dive and build landscape view for chosen causes, create catalogs and source sample proposals

- Curate knowledge nuggets from the development sector about new NGOs/ideas/models

2) Deal support

- Identify and recommend partner NGOs and programs to clients

- Provide solutioning support - program design & definition, log frame analysis, client workshops

- Proposal preparation support

You will be successful if you come with

1) 12+ years of overall experience with 3+ years in a lead role, with responsibility for delivering on key mandates for the organization

2) 5+ years of experience with CSR consulting firms, NGOs or social enterprises with hands-on exposure of implementing and monitoring social impact programs across multiple causes

3) Strong academic and conceptual understanding of impact interventions and methodologies

4) Experience with conducting research, drawing insights from data, building frameworks

5) Strong inclination for learning about the sector overall with a high degree of depth

6) Executive presence to represent Give Grants with CSR leaders and boards, and ability to communicate with senior leadership and on-ground teams

7) Desire to work in a fast-paced startup environment
