Job Summary:

This position provides leadership and oversight to Giant Eagle's IT Project Management Office (PMO). This team member will be responsible for the management, coaching and development of Giant Eagle's project manager team. This person will also be responsible for improving the overall maturity of the PMO organization by refining current and implementing new practices, standards, processes, and metrics. This team member is also responsible for managing business portfolio reviews.

Job Description:

- Lead and manage the Giant Eagle project management team. Fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence in execution. Holding project managers accountable for processes and operating standards

- Provide coaching and development to each project manager through individual development plans

- Provide training, education and industry engagement opportunities for the team

- Facilitate Giant Eagle's portfolio planning process in partnership with the IT Leadership Team and business stakeholders on an ongoing basis

- Facilitate the portfolio review process for each business area and ensure that incoming work is properly defined, estimated and prioritized

- Support and coach project management team on risk, issue, and change management, while providing support when management escalation is needed

Required Skills :

- Bachelor's Degree - Business, Information Systems, or equivalent (required)

- Master's Degree - MBA (preferred)

- Project Management Professional Certification

- 13+ Years of experience in project, program or portfolio management roles

- Proficient in portfolio management within an IT environment employing both waterfall and agile methodologies

Preferred Skills:

- Retail eCommerce experience preferred

- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and executive stakeholders

- Strong communication and presentation skills

- Experience in managing strategic vendor relationships, including negotiations
