POSITION SUMMARY The International Tax Manager will work closely with the Global Head of Tax and other top executives across GFG Alliance to define, implement, and operate GFG Alliance's global tax strategy. The role offers a fine opportunity for a driven tax professional to enter the center of a tax machine room in a multinational company. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES - - Developing and maintaining a tax focused and dynamic overview of GFG Alliance's corporate structure and the primary functions of each entity, - Participate in the ongoing optimization and simplification of GFG's global corporate structures, - Documenting the ongoing tax impact of external funding facilities and intercompany facilities, including impacts on taxable profits levels, interest restriction effects, and withholding tax charges, - In collaboration with the transfer pricing team, review and document the fiscal impacts from flows of good and services within the group, - Global responsibility for withholding taxes - Identifying, planning and implementing fact based fiscal optimization projects globally in- and across jurisdictions and in collaboration with members of the global tax function and many other stakeholders across GFG, - Tracking and reporting the impact of fiscal optimization projects, - Establishing, maintaining, and communicating analysis of tax impacts of potential future transactions and limitations to the group's structural agility, - Providing full scope tax functional input and advice to international project teams working with M&A, capex investments and other transformational projects, - Following and documenting trends and developments in the international tax framework and local tax legislation in relevant jurisdictions and their potential impact on GFG's local, regional and consolidated tax position, including BEPS 2.0 projects and the global minimum taxation rules - Assisting the Global Head of Tax in reviewing, adjusting and implementing the overall tax strategy for GFG Alliance. Qualifications and Experience - 8-10 years of experience as a tax professional, including at least 5 years of international tax experience enabling the candidate to understand, discuss and document tax risks within a multitude of tax jurisdictions - Degree qualification in accounting, economics, finance, law or other relevant discipline. A relevant professional qualification within tax law, auditing or similar - Documented, practically and theoretically based mastering of corporate and financial structures and their tax consequences, including the planning and implementation of changes to them, earned in a multinational company and/or an international advisory firm, - Strong theoretical understanding of international tax law, mastering of tax treaties, withholding tax systems and mechanisms for relief of double taxation, - Documented experience with cross border M&A related tax advisory and fiscal reviews of cash flow forecasts - Ability to digest and process very large quantities of complex information, - A distinctive analytical and systematic mindset and an eye both for detail and for the larger picture, - Strong project management and implementation skills, - Great interpersonal communication skills and the ability to present complex data in an easily understandable way, - Ability to excite and engage stakeholders positively in new initiatives, - Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills.
