Experience :

10+ years of experience in architecture, design and implementation of Java/J2EE based solutions with minimum of 3 years in a Technical Architect role

- Proven experience deploying/packaging Java applications to JEE containers (Tomcat, Weblogic, JBoss, WebSphere, etc.)

- Extensive experience with successful implementations of highly scalable and highly available systems in a multi-tier environment

- Progressive experience in computing, development, architecture and/or client/server application integration and implementation

- Experience with agile development processes, specifically SCRUM

Roles & Responsibilities

- Develop Strategic Relationships with Customers by translating business strategy into technical vision

- Own the Technical Relationships with various units (CoE / Practice / Services etc)

- Provide Pre-Sales Technical support including Technical Enablement on Application / Solution Development / Porting, Benchmarking and Implementation Roadmap / Packaging of Complex Products and Solutions, effort estimates

- Support Product Evaluations and Technical proof-of-concepts

- Identify and evaluate the technologies that will be used for the project based on requirements & technology trend

- Evaluate and recommend the development methodologies, frameworks and modeling techniques

- Identify and address architectural challenges

- Ensure that the application design is adequately documented and approved

- Contribute to the technical code and design documentation

- Understand/apply reusable code design, leverage application architecture/framework capabilities and functionality, and design/develop solutions that are highly reliable, scalable, and perform to meet business-defined service levels.

- Conduct code reviews and ensuring quality solutions are built and tested

- Take full ownership of code quality through automated unit testing

- Help developers see the value of the architecture and understand how to use it successfully

- Team Management

- Resolve technical design or implementation issues and provide direction to the team members

- Review and approve of design documents and code

Senior Architect's primary responsibilities:- Architecting core tech systems, such as payments and external-facing APIs- Designing a framework around tech operations, such as unit testing and continuous integration- Managing server/system infrastructures- Taking ownership of projects to drive product improvements that will change the world

Must-haves :- Excellent attention to detail (and we mean it)- Interest in social good or education- Experience working in a startup environment

Preferred Technologies:

PHP, SQL Server, MySQL, APIs, Git, Apache, Nginx, Yii PHP Framework, Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure, Python / Ruby on Rails
