Designation : Team Lead/Assistant Manager - Plant Accounting & Costing

Job Description :

- Responsible for establishing standard costs and updating them as appropriate

- Maintain cost accounting system

- Supports manufacturing accounting function including general accounting, cost accounting, budgeting, inventory accounting and control, standard cost generation and management of the Bill of Materials.

- Prepare month end close Cost Accounting entries and prepare relevant monthly variance analysis reports (Operations, Material, PPV, etc)

- Review bills of materials and labor routings to ensure costing accuracy

- Analyzing changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods, or services provided, to determine effects on cost

- Assist in developing annual manufacturing budgets and interim forecasts

- Monthly reporting of production variances (Direct labor, Indirect Labor, and overheads)

- Analyzing actual manufacturing costs and preparing periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs

- Review inventory information in ERP system and sub-legers to ensure accurate valuation of inventory

Experience and Key Skill set Required Education & experience :

- Commerce Graduate with MIN 2-4 year of SC experience (manufacturing/distribution)

Skill Set :

- Strong Accounting Knowledge in Cost Accounting, GAAP, and Month end closing and reporting.

- Intermediate to advanced Excel skillset. Strong familiarity with accounting information systems

- Ability to research, compile, analyze, and interpret data

- Excellent communication skills - Good written and verbal language skills, as per country requirement for the in scope profile.

- Detail Oriented.

- High customer service orientation.

- Ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments

- Flexibility to adjust standard guidelines to exceptions, following the required level of integrity.

- Decision taking ability under tight deadlines.

- Effective working knowledge of IT incl. Use of, Word, Excel, Power point.

- Knowledge of ERP system's (SAP working knowledge is an advantage).

- Ability to handle varied volumes of workloads and to meet targets and deadlines on time.

- Identify opportunities for continuous process improvement
