Role of Reporting Analyst (Power BI Developer)

- Power BI development and administration.

- Building Analysis Services reporting models.

- Developing visual reports, dashboards and KPI scorecards using Power BI desktop.

- Connecting to data sources, importing data and transforming data for Business Intelligence.

- Excellent in analytical thinking for translating data into informative visuals and reports.

- Able to implement row level security on data and have an understanding of application security layer models in Power BI.

- Proficient in making DAX queries in Power BI desktop.

- Expertise in using advance level calculations on the data set.

- Responsible for design methodology and project documentation.

- Able to develop tabular and multidimensional models that are compatible with data warehouse standards.

- Experience in Microsoft SSRS reports (just a few months experience or knowledge will be good)

- Experience with SQL, experience writing SQL queries and stored procedures.

- Hands on experience in report migration (to different platform/tool) is good to have

- Very good communication skills; must be able to discuss the requirements effectively with client teams, internal team members

Work Timing - Typical work timings are 12.30 noon to 9.30 pm

Required Education and Experience

- A technical Bachelor's Degree such as Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Technology, or similar technical degree preferred

- A minimum of 4+ years of experience building Datawarehouse and BI solutions in the Microsoft space (at leats 2 yrs in power bi, overall 4 years role)

- Technical Qualifications/ -profile

- 4+ years of overall professional IT experience
 
- 2+ years of Power BI development including DAX- Data Analysis Expressions

- Data warehousing experience implementing ETL solutions is good to have

- Database design, database schema design, database programming, data analysis is good to have

- Relational database schema design is good to have

- Understanding of OLTP- Online Analytical Processing and OLAP- Online transaction processing and the differences between them

- SSRS SQL Server Reporting Services experience highly preferred

- Excellent SQL skills (stored procedures, functions, views etc.)

- Develop and/or assist in custom and complex queries in SQL and Oracle databases

- Experience working with Cloud BI tools such as AWS, PowerBI Premium or Azure preferred

- Experience with Azure, Data Factory, Power Apps or -Flow is a plus

- Prior experience in Banking and/or Insurance industry is a plus
