AVP Supply - transportation Analyst  We are looking for women candidates  Taleo ID - ANA001605 : Recruiter - Divya  Summary of Role / Profile:  The focus of the Function:  The Transportation Analyst occupies a pivotal role in the execution of transportation plans and strategies. They are directly responsible for the order once in TMS through shipment delivery to the customer; including mode selection, load optimization, routing guide compliance, and shipment plan execution. They must work effectively across all CS&L functions, and cooperatively with numerous service providers, to ensure timely pickup/delivery of FG shipments within client's varied North American network.   Why does this job exist:  This role is also responsible for monitoring data flows and synchronization activities between critical business systems used in both upstream replenishment and downstream fulfillment processes.  How does the role add value:  - This role identifies the gaps in transportation distribution capacity and initiates appropriate corrective measures. Manage overflow shipments and execute auction process per approved methodology. Document routing guides deficiencies and oversee corrective action.  - Support continuous improvement initiatives through control plan execution and actively participate in relevant lean six sigma projects. Quarterly working visits with internal stakeholders to facilitate learning/teaching opportunities.  How is this role unique from others:  This role manages incoming faxes/emails from the customer service team that will provide the order information. This information will be manually keyed into TMS. This will create a shipment record and will then get tendered to a carrier using the TMS tool.  Using the TMS reporting tool address and track overages, damages and returns as directed by the Customer Service and Transportation Manager to ensure timely return of product while assisting carriers with the investigation and resolution of operational issues at the customer warehouses and all assigned locations.  Who are the key relationships for this role:  This position will use information obtained from the   - Transportation Planning/Procurement- To communicate as needed with Transportation management regarding carrier service issues and internal/ external customer/facility service requirements.  - Manufacturing/Distribution--Partner with sites to ensure shipment plan is intact and exceptionable for same day/next day shipments. Monitor daily execution of shipping/receiving activities at assigned facilities and facilitate daily discussions with Plants and Site Transportation Planner at MC's. Escalate issues to Trans Management as needed.  - Customer Supply Chain--On a daily basis, work with Customer Service TLs, Customer Supply Chain, and carrier partners to provide expert assistance with on time pickup and on time delivery of FG shipments. Ensure appropriate communication to all impacted parties.  - Field Logistics Operations--Interact with Transportation Management, Site Representative, and 3PL personnel to develop solutions for consistent and un-acceptable transportation service levels at all facilities and customers. Participate in routine or ad hoc meetings associated with same.  - Product Supply--Monitor daily execution of upstream replenishment plans, and initiate corrective action when service issues arise. Ensure appropriate communication to all impacted parties.   - External Carriers--On a daily basis, work with carrier's on-site resources, HQ, and dispatch offices to resolve Routing Guide and service issues. Ensure shipments are optimized through utilization of Oracle report.  - Facilitate communication/coordination between internal customer group and external carrier contacts to ensure attainment of service level objectives. Focus efforts on timely pick-up/delivery and overall stakeholder satisfaction. Determine root cause of all carrier service failures and log in TMS database, initiate necessary follow-up communication and develop/distribute stakeholder reports.  - Monitor data flows between TMS, Matrices, Red Prairie, SAP, and other WMS to ensure synchronization of transportation information. Ensure EDI interfaces are functioning properly and carriers are providing required load status updates.  - Identify gaps in transportation distribution capacity and initiate appropriate corrective measures. Document routing guides deficiencies and oversees corrective action.  - Daily interaction with off-site carriers and on-site carrier partners to resolve service and capacity issues while escalating to management as needed. Support and provide input into the Carrier Scorecard on a monthly basis. Oversee the application of all carrier performance management programs and provide documentation, information, and recommendations as necessary to drive service improvement. Hold calls with carriers as necessary.   - Support continuous improvement initiatives through control plan execution and actively participate in relevant L6S projects.
