(I) RESPONSIBILITIES :

1. Technical Support:

a. Provide technical support to the offshore team in performing all tasks/projects - Serve as the subject matter expert (SME)

b. Produce and review the documents (technical or otherwise) that the team produces to ensure they adhere to the guidance provided by the Client process owner.

c. Support team leads for business initiatives and projects as per Client Process Manager's preference and priority - participate as needed for providing process improvement opportunities to Client business owners

d. Lead by example - drive consistency in expected behaviors

2. Process Support

a. Perform tasks/projects/analysis assigned to him/her by the Client process manager.

b. Act as a checker / reviewer producing commentary with detailed analysis to support the results.

c. Value Generation - Pro-actively seek ways to improve efficiency and calibrate with Genpact Offshore team and Client process owners for their direction and prioritization to execute any process improvements

d. Understand end-to-end working of the actuarial process.

e. Identify potential areas of support for the offshore team

f. Coordinate with Client and Genpact leaders on expectations, priorities, transitioning work to offshore.

g. Perform process tasks and activities as needed to maintain knowledge, serve as back up and balance workload.

h. Create knowledge repository building through process documentation

3. Program/process Governance:

a. Ensure all process and project related deliverables include defined controls and supporting evidence meet agreed upon requirements

b. Ensure agreed upon governance practices are in place and adhered too - daily/weekly/monthly status reporting of team activities against the program plan or schedule

c. Establish working relationships within the Client environment across other actuarial functions, finance, IT and project management teams.

d. Timely escalation of issues requiring attention to Genpact leadership/Client process owners; create necessary action plans

(II) REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

1. BS/BA Degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics and/or related major

2. Partially Qualified Actuary (5+ Actuarial exams cleared) with 5+ years' experience in life/annuity insurance or financial services industry

3. Proven analytical and problem-solving skills

4. Demonstrated ability to manage concurrent deadlines and multiple priorities

5. Demonstrated ability to manage through influence and not direction ownership

6. Strong communication skills (verbal and written)

(III) PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

1. US ASA equivalent with 5+ years of experience in Life & Annuity insurance industry

2. Strong actuarial work experience and understanding of US life products & Knowledge of US regulations - GAAP, STAT, and Tax reporting concepts

3. Specific knowledge of tools - Any actuarial modeling tool (preferably PolySystems, AXIS or MGAlfa), Excel, VBA, SQL, Word, PowerPoint

4. Knowledge of actuarial modeling, preferably for US products

5. 1-2+ years of people management experience
