Percentage of travel required : 5%

Job Overview (Briefly describe the purpose of job in no more than 2-3 sentences.)

- The candidate has to work as an individual contributor and provide support, design, and architect mission critical Global SAP environments as well as other enterprise applications such warehouse management and output management. 


- It is expected that the candidate will act as a subject matter expert (SME) for SAP component. The candidate will install and maintain software for SAP components ERP, BW, APO, CRM, SRM, SAPDB, Enterprise Portal, HANA and Solution Manager, as well as non-SAP software such as Cypress and TriplePoint.


- Apart from that the candidate has to leads infrastructure projects and partners on strategic direction with integration, functional, and architecture teams. In addition, he is also responsible to manage Red Prairie (plant/warehouse inventory management system), Data Archiving, instance management, SAP performance, and ad hoc problem analysis and resolution.

- Candidate should know SAP HANA well and should have an experience on SAP upgrade & patching

Job Responsibilities : 

- 55 % of Time Ensure availability & good performance of system

- Act as a subject matter expert for other team members and keep the light on

- Troubleshoot, analyze and resolve technical and performance problems in SAP systems and systems that integrate to SAP & guide the team members

- Co-ordinate with SAP incorporation to resolve any issue

- Align SAP components to business continuity strategies

- Proactively tune the system to meet business requirement

- Should know how to manage systems on SAP HANA environment

- 25 % of Time Prepare strategy to perform upgrade & apply periodic patches

- Prepare upgrade and periodic apply patch policy on HANA environment

- Form a process and technical document after taking consensus from global team

- Work with functional teams and the architecture team to determine best practices for future SAP landscapes and enterprise applications

- Coordinate with other teams for downtime

- Troubleshoot the problems due to upgrade/patch & also form a process to prevent it in future

- 20 % of Time Guide team members & provide help to cross team members

- Guide team members by providing valuable inputs & also by making them understand the need of the technology

- Act as a subject matter expert to solve critical issue & document the same

- Work on innovation and automation to reduce mundane work

- Work on better implementation and administration plan on critical tools

- Work with other teams to improve service provided to them

- Candidate should have working experience with a global team on supporting SAP and Non-SAP third party systems.

- Candidate should have knowledge in working on HANA

- HANA certification can be added advantage..

- Ability to organize, prioritize, follow-up and ensure execution of multiple projects in a dynamic environment.

- Proactive and anticipate future needs.

- Demonstrated ability to work independently or in a team environment.
