General Merchandise Inventory Manager

- Lead and manage the Divisional Inventory teams

- Maximize On-Shelf Availability while optimizing Divisional inventory turns and minimizing supply chain costs.

- Support and deliver strategic operational objectives

- Deep understanding of merchandise forecasting and replenishment processes and strategies

- High level of mgmt experience - leading and developing high performance teams

- High level of Retail experience, preferably in a high volume national retail environment.

- Strong understanding of retail supply chains and distribution channels

- Tertiary qualified

- Ability to develop and implement replenishment strategies

- Strong analytical skills

- Supplier relationships and performance mgmt

- Mgmt of Inventory cover and stock turn

- Deep understanding of local and overseas sourcing processes

- Excellent administrative process management skills

- Strong understanding of Inforem and general IT application skills

- Influencing and communication skills across all levels of the organisation and external parties

- Deep affinity with and understanding of store issues and requirements

- Follow department processes

- Adapt/refine/modify department processes

- Create department processes/policy

- Develop/modify business policy/ systems/ programs

- Provide input to brand or functional strategy

- Is accountable for development of brand or functional strategy
