- Demonstrate excellence in underwriting operations, claims processing, policy procurement, reinsurance and risk management; well conversant with audit & review policies.

- Expertise in end-to-end management of General Insurance Claim Process; exposure in Logistic Insurance of very sophisticated machines like and high-end construction equipment

- Proficiency in underwriting General Package Policies; strong skills in handling large scale Insurance projects.

- Hands-on scrutinizing & deciding on accepting, modifying or rejecting the risk (insurance application)as per the insurance company's guidelines/ policies; skilled at effectively using underwriting concepts

- Possesses good communication, interpersonal and people management skills.

Key Responsibilities:

- Underwriting & Risk Assessment for the large infrastructure project:

- Claims Settlements:

- Managing Risk & Insurance function for the project i.e; Assessing & analyzing Insurance requirements of the project

- To manage complete Group Insurance portfolio of the projects, both on Assets as well as Liabilities side, which includes: Property & Causality, Employee benefits - Group Health & Personal Accident, Liability Insurance, Aviation, Life Insurance, Gratuity & Claims settlement.

- To purchase and maintain comprehensive insurance packages, keeping in view the risk exposures that can arise out of all project divisions as mining, roads, power, steel, cement, ferroalloys including international investment projects.

- Coordinating & Negotiating with Insurers, Reinsures & Brokers to source various Insurance products on best terms & conditions.

- To ensure the smooth transition from the construction phase to operational phase without leaving any gaps in insurance for the portions of the projects being put to use.

- Ensure timely renewal of all Insurances at the best terms.

- Review of existing operational policies for insurance adequacy & changes, if any. Scrutinization of Insurance Policies for errors and rectification of the same.

- Managing claims, right from intimation to insurer till final settlement. Co-ordinating with various departments for timely submission of claim documents and timely settlement of insurance claims.

- Advise HR on employee-related insurance matters and help employees / HR team to resolve health insurance claims matters.
