General Manager - Taxation - FMCG/Manufacturing Firm

The incumbent must be qualified CA or MBA Finance from Tier I/II institute with 15 yrs of exp in both direct and indirect services, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations within the prescribed timeframes, identifying tax risks, managing tax provisions and partnering with business as tax advisors.

KRA :

- Formulate & execute the development of tax strategy for the organization to ensure optimized tax liability for the organization to increase profits after tax

- Ensure preparation of Annual Corporate Income Tax computation and returns based on the Financials including ensuring correctness of tax charging

- Ensure all claims for refunds are made with the concerned authorities and undertake adequate follow up for the same

- Lead documentation and implementation of transfer pricing policies across a range of intercompany transactions on a global basis

- Drive proactive study of the taxation environment including any amendments/ changes in tax laws and intimate business groups on various developments and implications for the company

- Continuously scan the environment for new opportunities for cost reduction through efficient tax structuring

- Ensure compliance of all direct and indirect taxation activities for the Company and subsidiaries with statutory / regulatory requirements

- Responsible for GST related compliances and audits

- Attend Professional Tax related assessments and queries

- Liaison with tax auditors, prepare the tax audit and ITR returns, to attend and comply with Income tax related assessments and appeal matters.

- Responsible for handling direct and indirect tax litigation which involves extensive interaction with consultants, drafting/reviewing submissions and appearing before the authorities

- Ensure compliance with internal audit policies and procedures

- Ensure FEMA and Companies Act related compliances for foreign remittances made

- Conduct timely assessment and audit of the company and subsidiaries
