General Manager - Supply Chain Management - Infra

Overall Functional Scope:

- To lead and direct all facets of supply chain management including, but not limited to, purchasing, logistics, warehousing, inventory management, material forecasting and sourcing, master scheduling, as necessary for materials support to INFRA Projects and Maintenance.

Reporting To COO - INFRA

Responsibilities:

- Direct the activities of all functions involved in the purchasing, planning, warehousing, and control of materials from the receipt of Sales plan, forecasting replenishment needs and delivery of the Material to the site.

- Responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring the procurement strategy for Direct & Indirect categories and ensure in Y-o-Y cost reduction.

- Develop and implement effective negotiation strategies and management of strategic contracts and suppliers.

- Manage inventories and supplies to all ongoing projects and establishes controls for inventory optimization.

- Analyse current inventories; suggests improvements to increase efficiency of supply chain and profitability for the company.

- Design, Develop and implement purchasing information System (MIS), key performance Indicators (KPI).

- Ensure highest level of performance based on key performance metrics and minimized supply chain risk.

- Develop and Monitors the performance of suppliers, assessing their ability to meet quality and delivery requirements.

- Working collaboratively with key stakeholders to achieve 'value for money' savings targets that support the achievement of budgets.

- Establishes annual goals and objectives in coordination with corporate objectives, develops team and manages performance to ensure attainment.

- Managing supply chain operations and effective team handling at multiple locations

- Establishing process and systems for managing SCM in meeting the deliverables of the organisation.

- Effective vendor management

- Must have smooth relations with internal customer departments and also to enhance the AP process and cashflow management of new projects as required by the organization

Skill Sets:

- Hands on experience of working in ERP/ SAP environment

- Working knowledge of MS Excel/MS Power point

- Excellent communication skills (Verbal and written).

- High Integrity.

- Excellent leadership and having skills of handling team effectively on the KPIs of SCM

- Analytical, cost conscious and proactive.

- Knowledge of commodity market and its pricing trend

Experience:

- 15 Years+ experience demonstrating capability of procuring and handling complex negotiations for Infrastructure / Real Estate business.

- Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques as well as dexterity in anticipating / reading the market.

Educational Background:

- Bachelor of engineering in Civil/Mechanical/Material Management.

- MBA in Material Management or Equivalent.

- The Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) from The Association for Operations Management (APICS) shall be an added advantage.
