General Manager/Senior General Manager - Finance & Accounts - Manufacturing Sector

JOB PURPOSE:

Financial monitoring of operations - to ensure that financial resources are used judiciously and in line with business goals, continuous monitoring of performance against profit plan and cost targets to ensure planned objectives are met, and advance signaling and timely reporting of variances for corrective action.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

a) Accounting consolidation: 100 % compliance with accounting standards. Timely closing the Financial Statement. Well versed with systems & procedures of accounting.

b) Costing: Improvement in Costing and methods to improve cost tracking.

c) Budgeting: Improvement in Variance analysis and financial forecasting. Improvement in decision making process.

d) MIS: Improvement in reports and analysis. Timely and error free generation of Business MIS and variance analysis

OTHER SKILLSETS:

- Familiarity with SAP FICO environment

- Sound understanding of accounting and costing practices and standards

- Knowledge of financial controls & processes and budgeting systems

- Sound understanding of business processes

- Expertise in MS Applications

- Very good communication, interpersonal and presentation skills

- Excellent analytical & arithmetical skills

- Worked with a listed company
