GM-Sales(MT & GT) -FMCG Industry for a leading Edible oil company_Bangalore
Job Responsibilities:
- Acquire new business for key accounts, Modern trade & General trade South India.
- Manage South India key accounts & General trade in coordination with the respective regional teams.
- Plan, develop/procure and launch new products as per industry trends and client demand.
- Budgeting and planning in alignment with company's long-term goals and short-term objectives.
- Conceptualize Annual Marketing Plans and implement it South India to achieve maximum consumer and brand activation.
- Identify, develop, and evaluate marketing strategy, Develop pricing strategies, Formulate, direct and coordinate marketing activities and policies to promote products.
- Consult with product development personnel on product specifications such as design, color, and packaging.
- Direct the hiring, training, and performance evaluations of marketing and sales staff and oversee their daily activities.
- Negotiate contracts with vendors and distributors to manage product distribution, establishing distribution networks and developing distribution strategies.
- Use sales forecasting and strategic planning to ensure the sale and profitability of products,, analyzing business developments and monitoring market trends.
- Plan, execute and achieve the sales targets as per the business plan.
- Develop market intelligence and expansion of distribution network.
- Promote and extend the Heritage parlors and parlor sales in the area of operation.
- Ensure to collect/recover the sales realization and out standings.
- Administration of Sales Offices, by Optimum utilization of resources, Funds and Cost Control in general and Sales & Distribution cost in particular.
SCOPE
- Generation of Primary, secondary sales.
- Fixing the norms - Very Strong on Developing Distribution channel ( Modern trade, General Trade/ Traditional Trade)
- Strong Process knowledge of Sales Operations & MIS.
- Achieving the coverage target.
- Maintaining infrastructure according to turnover.
- Timely appointment of Distributors and their manpower, with full quality ensured.
- Review of finance and infrastructure.
- Monitoring channel payment.
- Review, Governance and Training/ counselling of staff.
- Guide and Motivate to ensure better productivity & morale.
- Develop skills for subordinates through on-the-job coaching in the field.
- Daily sales reports on time.
- Feedback reports of new launch products.
