General Sales Manager - Africa

Reports to : Senior General Manager

Location : East Africa or Egypt.

- Bachelor in Engineering 12 to 18 years experience in selling PEB / SS.

- Minimum 4 to 5 years in a similar position heading a regional sales office..

- Responsible to achieve / exceed Kirby Target / Sales objectives in his Geography

- Ensure excellent services to Company customers and maintain excellent relationship with the strategic customers/ key accounts.

- (Sales engineers, new offices, new Builders.), developing strong relations with new key high potential customers, propose new products/ services.. etc.

- Prepare sales forecasts for his geography for the annual budgets, re-forecasting exercises

- Be responsible for Company's market share in the assigned geographies Recruit, train, develop and mentor the sales force under him

- Provide market research, market intelligence data to the Marketing department

- Own the process of Key Account Management

- Recommend new / changes in the incentive plans for builders / distributors to achieve the sales objectives and keep his network motivated.

- Review the performance of his sales network, propose required training to improve the performance, promotions, propose changes / replacements in his network to increase efficiency.

- Propose new ideas / marketing tools to increase Company exposure in the market.

- Track, analyse and report competition activities / price trend / opportunities and risks in his region.

- To ensure full respect and compliance to Company Values/ policy / procedures in his region daily activities, all presale and after sale activities and report any violation.

- Follow up and provide necessary coaching to his team to increase efficiency and profitability.

- Review and prepare consolidated sales report(s) and presentations for his region..

- Get involved personally in closing complex sales.

- Follow up and ensure smooth and in time releases of the projects to production and shipment.

- Review all special contracts / prices/ discounts / special approvals from management before signing the contracts to ensure effective and proper pre-sale activity management within Company policy.
