General Manager - Revenue Management - Partner Billing & Innovation - Courier Logistics Firm

The role will responsible for : 

- The successful management and operation of the revenue cycle for the company, resulting in increased cash collections, increased A/R velocity, and decreased A/R days to ensure desired outcomes are achieved

- Revenue accounting, providing Revenue Assurance, managing audit and tax requirements

- Manage the partner billing process ie raise bills on behalf of partner on the company data available and agreed on

- Implement, manage and innovate usingthe world class Billing Revenue & Innovation Management (BRIM) software procured by the company

- Improve processes, productivity and timelines for close,

Ensure timeliness, accuracy and completeness of the following activities: 

Responsible for the following activities : 

- Revenue Management & Billing

- Oversee all aspects of the Billing function including managing to internal as well as contractual deadlines, review of invoices and revenue recognition.

- Communicate effectively with staff as well as the various departments that play a role in the Billing and A/R functions.

- Coordinate the compilation of Unbilled, Billed and Deferred roll-forward account reconciliations at the activity and general ledger level.

- Oversee the reconciliation of other activity related accounts such as: revenue, unbilled receivables and accounts receivable

- Supervises corporate billing team as well as regional billing teams

- Leads process improvement initiatives, finding solutions to complex billing, revenue and accounts receivable issues.

- Manage revenue audit requests and special projects as assigned

- Manage dispute resolution and credit note issuance process

Partner Billing : 

- Set up contracts for delivery partners/vendors which are covered under the program of partner billing

- Ensure timely billing on the company on behalf of vendors and partners

- Ensure automation and communication invoicing, tax etc to partners/vendors

Specific Projects : 

- Help monitor and Implement world class Billing Revenue & Innovation Management (BRIM) software procured by the company

- Implement, manage and innovate the toolsets available to ensure SLAs are consistently met and processes are monitored, changed, if necessary in order to meet and exceed client expectations as well as partner expectations

- Centralise billing processes as far as possible while improving productivity

People : 

- Provide leadership to large and distributed team

- Inspire and improve levels of performance

- Define KPIs, monitor performance against KPIs

- Manage rewards and recognition programs

Key Skills/Experience Required : 

- Has sound knowledge of revenue accounting and recognition processes. Has exposure to IT systems, experience in implementation of IT systems will be a plus. Managed large teams

- Exposure to ERP Solution, Excel and PPT

- Strong process orientation

- Strong Communication Skills, delegating, well organized.

- Revenue accounting, billing and /or accounting experience inlarge organisations or leadership roles in smaller ones

- Can do attitude and ability to execute

- Self-Driven, Creative and passionate

- Should have problem solving ability

- Should have good leadership skills and ability to manage team with good networking skills
