Job Description

Reporting to the Vice President - Finance, your role will be a business controller / CFO for a particular business (TO close to 2000 cr). This will comprise all aspects of finance and accounts with a particular focus on business value creation. Your responsibilities will include. You will manage a team, while executing the following:

1. Management accounting and reporting for the entire business to facilitate Group Level Decision making

2. Financial vetting and analysis of plans proposed on the revenue side by sales teams which will include decision making on markets, products, mixes etc

3. Cost analysis and control at the plant level in close conjunction with plant controllers and operational controllers

4. Partnering with supply chain and procurement for the business to bring efficiency to processes

5. Liaison with auditors for book closure as well as coordination with Group Financial Controllership teams to ensure adequate internal controls and timely financial reporting according to IFRS

6. Interface with taxation internal teams and consultants including delivering strong value on transfer pricing related issues

7. Working capital management, budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis at quarterly, annual and 5 year levels

Ideal Candidate

As an ideal candidate you are Chartered Accountant with 14 years experience, a minimum of 5 of which have been in the pharmaceutical space. You have exposure to the entire gamut of duties enunciated above. From a technical perspective, you are well versed with IFRS as well as transfer pricing. You have exposure to partnering cross functionally across various teams on both revenue as well as cost sides. You have deep exposure in a multicultural environment and are able to achieve results in geographies and markets overseas. Most importantly, you have a can-do attitude which takes ownership and does not mind stretching to achieve business outcomes.
