- Controlling the purchase of Medical Equipment, Medical Consumable, all other procured items & Non Clinical services.

- Negotiating price and terms of products with suppliers.

- Managing, developing & improving the purchasing team.

- Establishing terms, pricing, quality requirements, delivery, and contracts

- Reviewing all contracts/agreements to achieve - best price/best quality purchasing.

- Giving sourcing input to colleagues to aid business planning & development.

- Build, maintain and manage strong relationship with vendors

- Coordinating with the end users, consultants for finding cost - effective alternates.

- Evaluate Vendor Rating

- Monitor and Forecast Upcoming level of demand

- Coordination with Stores on allocation of the materials.

- Preparation of Procurement budget & control Purchase dept. & maintain In-line with annual estimates.

- Preparation of MIS Report to Management

Competencies required:

Material Planning/Inventory Management : Preparing material requirement plan as per production floor needs. Tracking and maintaining inventory levels in the stores for all items required in the plant. Generating purchase orders as and when inventory levels reach reorder levels. Efficiently managing the inventory levels, for ensuring ready availability of material to meet production and dispatch targets.

Procurement : Handling procurement with an aim of improving quality & reliability. Budgeting funds for procurement and sourcing of materials ensuring optimum utilization of materials & maximum cost savings. Discussing product specification with suppliers and negotiate for best rates. Defining Service Level Agreements & Support terms with suppliers.

Vendor Management: Steering strategic sourcing through identification of cost effective vendors/suppliers for procurement with an aim of reducing cost while improving quality & reliability.Carrying out vendor localization/ indigenization for curtailing costs of materials as well as negotiating the terms of credit with vendors as well as the cost of material required.

Stores Management : Planning physical layout of warehouse/stores for storage of materials, spare parts & consumables and ensuring smooth accounting, issue of material to production & project sites.Managing operations ensuring optimum inventory levels to achieve maximum cost savings without hampering the production process. Overseeing relocation of business premises / Warehouses & analyze expenses, trends, wastage factors for all divisions.

Logistics : Devising and effectuating innovative strategies for ensuring smooth transportation of goods throughout country resulting in customer satisfaction. Taking adequate measures to monitor and analyze the performance of transporters pertaining to cost, quality and delivery norms. Supervising operations of cross functional units to achieve efficiency in all aspects of customer service delivery cycle, ensuring timely delivery, timely MIS etc.
