General Manager - Purchase - FMCG

Overall purpose of job :

- Strategy of procurement of Non commodities across various categories

- Vendor relationship development & management

- Head the procurement function

- Manage a spend base of approximately Rs. 600cr

- Must have indepth experience in Procurement of Packaging Materials

Tasks and Responsibilities:

- Strategy of procurement for Packaging materials(70% of Spend), chemicals, indirect purchases, capex, MRO across various categories

- Procurement process - Best practises benchmarking.

- Vendor relationship development & management

- Should be well versed on number crunching and manager networks.

- Continuously Benchmark & drive improvement projects to deliver competitive advantage

- Lead innovation and New product material development.

- Deliver on market/supply chain network

- Team Building & Development

Interface :

- Technical Team/development Team/factories

- Supply chain Team - 3 direct reportees

- Plant procurement - dotted line reporting to this person.

- Vendors

Education, qualifications, special training, experience and skills:

- Willing to travel.

- Experience of Procurement functions in Leadership position.

- Preference for person with experience in packaging category.

Experience: 12+ years

Education: MBA + Engineer
