Position Overview:
The Head of Production - Tractor Assembly is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing and managing the tractor assembly (Export) operations within the manufacturing facility. This position requires a strong background in production management, a deep understanding of tractor assembly processes, and the ability to lead a team to achieve production goals efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of assembly line supervisors, technicians, and workers. Ensure the team follows safety protocols and best practices in the assembly process.
- Production Planning: Develop and implement production schedules and plans to meet production targets. Monitor and optimise assembly line efficiency to ensure on-time delivery of tractors.
- Quality Control: Implement quality control procedures and conduct regular inspections to maintain product quality. Address and resolve quality issues or defects promptly. Resource Management: Manage resources effectively, including labour, machinery, and materials. Coordinate with other departments, such as procurement and maintenance, to ensure a smooth production process.
- Process Improvement: Continuously seek opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices to enhance productivity.Identify and recommend the adoption of new technologies or assembly techniques.
- Budget Management: Manage the department's budget, ensuring cost control and efficient resource allocation.
- Training and Development: Provide training and development opportunities for the assembly team to enhance their skills and knowledge. Promote a culture of learning and improvement within the department.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and industry standards. Stay updated on relevant regulations and make necessary adjustments to maintain compliance.
- Reporting: Prepare regular reports on departmental performance, including production output, quality metrics, and budget adherence. Present findings and recommendations to senior management
